As Karen celebrates what she calls her “3rd Act”, she also continues to be the KN Karen Neuburger Brand’s comfort coach, and inspirational leader of all things comfy, cozy and meaningful.

Moving to the idyllic Sonoma County countryside 3 years ago, Karen finds the 95448 zip code not only perfect for nurturing grapes and creating award winning wines, but also the perfect landscape for nurturing and stimulating her designs and creativity. “With views of vineyards, redwoods and geysers along the ridge tops its hard not to find ones’physical and emotional comforts.”  Although most of her neighbors are vintners, Karen has surrounded herself with beautiful grey-green olive trees.

With a distinct Italian flavor to the community, the smell of fantastic foods are always in the air.  Karen shops for fresh local produce, artisan breads and meats at the Plaza and farmers markets. Hiking the trails near her home has taken the place of early morning gym class.  Her new rituals includes yoga at sunrise, with a stunning view; and golden-orange sunsets with Pinot Grigio.

Interestingly, what Karen first fell in love with in this vibrant community was the community itself.  She was asked to lend her name and the name of her book, “Secret Language of Girlfriends” to the towns Breast Cancer charity.

Then, Karen was invited to be one of the first speakers at the Girlfriends For the Cure charity event.  After attending the event for several years, Karen felt pulled to this bonded community and convinced her husband to move there.

If you ask Karen if she feels out of touch or if the town is too small and sleepy, she enthusiastically says, “I’ve never been busier, more inspired, more excited or more content.  And that’s all in the same day.”
